fitness for busy momsBusy… busy… busy… 9 times out of 10 this is the answer I get when I ask my friends, family, and clients how they have been.

Family, work, school, keeping up with the house, the yard, your social life, relationships, and your health is a very long list of high priorities. And that doesn’t even include the curve balls life invariably throws at you.

Making time to take care of yourself becomes even harder but it also becomes even more important. We need to take care of ourselves in order to have the energy to knock out that long list of to-do’s and to manage the stress associated with such pressures.

“Against all odds. Up at 0400 (4:00 am) and out the door to work just to find out I’m staying late. Got home at 1840 (6:40 pm) and still found an ounce of ‘workout want’. Just got done with strength training. Happy with my 53 mountain climbers on first round. Gotta get back up to 85 I was doing before knee surgery. And yes that’s every other foot count. Also pre-washed and prepped fruits and veggies Saturday. Pre-washed with 1 part distilled vinegar and 10 part water. Worked well. Off to do other chores now that I’ve boosted my energy!” ~SKFitLife Challenger, Daina

Do you have a habit that is less than healthy? You know you would feel better if you kicked it, but you haven’t yet…

Let’s use Starbucks as an example…

A daily Starbucks habit over the course of 12 weeks can cost you $112 per month and the is if you only drink 1 per day!

Can that be right??? Yep… we have had challengers who have kicked habits just like the Starbucks habit and saved $336 during the 12 week challenge.

$4 x 28days =$112/month x 3 months… $336

More than 1 drink per day? Yes, it REALLY adds up, doesn’t it?

Making your health a priority will help you to see where you are spending your money. Are you spending it on things that will ultimately make you feel better from the inside out?

Make a choice to make better choices today. We are all a work in progress and you owe it to yourself to take care of this one body that you are blessed with.
